Actor Merit is rehearsing a theatre play with her ex-husband David. At home, the relationship between Merit and her partner Eva is in a state between smouldering crisis and idleness. The fear of an end has left them both speechless and alienated from each other. Merit uses violence to create more space for herself. Eva allows it. They both lose each other.
