During the crossing of the ferry from Morocco to Spain, three storylines intertwine in real time. Iris, Walter and their two sons take the boat from Morocco to Spain. Things are fragile but they find each other in a moment of passion, after which they realise their son is missing. Captain Bukhim hides his pregnant daughter in his cabin. He can’t live with the shame of a bastard grandchild and takes her to Spain. But she has other plans. Luis and Raul, two Spanish coastguards find a body in the harbour; one too many for Raul. The characters all try to cross to ‘the other’ but fate changes the tide.
